Enjoying the break but time to get back into it

The alloy tank was to suit an EFI set up so we needed to make up a plate to blank off the efi fulty pump hole

This is now the fuel outlet that will go to the fuel pump

Next step is to start on the fuel and brake lines

    Stay tuned

No real season as I'll start off with a few sprint days and go from there

Starter motor turned up today too

Very light and should kick it over nicely

Tell me how you get on with your starter.

I had to modify my CAE one as the throw out was incorrect.

That box of fittings looks expensive... They add up pretty quick.

    Started work on the boot

We got 2 filters for pre and post fuel pump. 1 is 40 microns and the other 100

    Working out the layout

And sorted. Might change the hose from the tank to the first filter though to run down the front of the tank if I have host left over

Made up the rear brake lines to go all the way into the M/C's then the fronts, Ran out of hose for the front left so I need to get more to finish it off. Threars are done and all bled up too

Next was finishing off the fuel hose. You can see the hose coming from the rear bulkhead going to front bulkhead

Here's a few pics of the bulkhead fitting in the engine bay into the carbs

next was fitting a new alternator

We needed to make a few spacers to fit it to the standard mount

Now all bolted in and just need to make a tension bracket

Looking the part....amazing how the engine bay soon fills up....

Just had the rules for my oval racing fun...and they now want 6" between battery and petrol tank....got me thinking it might be rules across all formulas...worth checking i think...

Next up is to paint the front dash and also blend in the front of the cage to avoid the glare and also make it disappear when sitting in the drivers seat. You can;t believe the difference this makes

After one of your previous posts, I got inspired and saved myself several hundred $'s by opting to do the same on my mk2 gt Cortina dash instead of having it recovered. Thanks! Quick question, is the hydraulic handbrake just plumbed inline with the rear brakes? Is there anything else that needs doing/modifying?

It'll be painted before you know it!

    Hi Mate,

    Thats great. Post a pic

The hydro brake is just plumbed direct into the rear brake line. Very easy

    Cheers

Like your approach to the brake plumbing, I used banjo fittings and they are a pain.

I thought of using banjo's. I'm not sure why we went these to be honest

    It ended up well though
