hi, everyone i jknow i dont post on here much butmy esc is nearly ready after having some extensive work done so thought i would show you some photo,s as i will be collecting it this week , it,s had a new 2.1 pinto twin cam built & fitted along with a gearbox change friom 5 speed to 4 speed and a 4.1 lsd , along with new brakes ,

Nope its a piper kit, a period accessory for the pintos, basically machine the cam carrier posts off of a pinto head, then bolt in the piper cam carrier and it is twin cam run off the one pulley (both cams are connected by gear wheels ) Interesting and rare thing to have

Theoretically it should be better since the timing on inlet and exhaust is adjustable and so can be finely tuned for each setup, but i imagine there is a lack of cam profiles available since its a rare conversion meaning that you might be better off with sohc. But if i had a pinto ever id definately try to find a piper conversion for it for bling if nothing else

it was never a really popular head conversion, even though I wanted one 20 odd years ago

you cant buy anything for them now only the cams, or NOS

thanks for the comments guys,
i know col ( the guy who built it for me ) had to make some of the tappet shims from scratch which was time consuming but we are just about ready for the rolling road now and get it all set up
