    Been tidying up the engine bay in the old Tina

    Slowly getting there with it.

    Very nice! What are the two braces running from the heater box to the inner wings? I've not seen those before.

    They are strut braces mate, there is one in the boot also.

    Are they factory installed or an aftermarket item? I don't think any Cortina's here in the US came with those.

    They were factory fitted mainly on the export (HD) shells.
    I think you can by them from the MK1 Cortina Owners Club if you fancy fitting them yourself

    32Evo - thats a cracking looking engine bay.

    One small thing I would do is move the VIN tag to its correct location on top of the inner wing next to the hinge on the drivers side.

    Looking for a nice mk1/2 RS, so will be selling the Cortina when i find one
