just finished making up a new comp loom for my mk1 essy. it's based on the original spec used by Borham in the late 60's early 70's and has the works style center console, passenger foot well fuse board and dash board pod including the smiths chronometric gauges, (nightmare to find).
Powered up first time and everything works perfectly.
As i spent many hours working on the design, I was going to offer it to others as a bare loom just made up of cables cut to length and labeled so that they can install it themselves and the cable lengths adjusted to suit and the ends soldered or crimped.
if anyones interested just let me know i can send you some more info pics specs etc.
i can also offer the loom as a finished item with fully soldered Lucas terminals and complete with quick release connectors allowing parts of the loom to be removed separately. ideal for the competition driven people out there.
just as a guide it is capable of running an alternator up to 150amps and 4 x 150w spot/fog and 150/130w head/dip bulbs.
all circuits are separately fused, and all cables are over-sized to prevent voltage drop meaning you get the full 14.4 volts at the bulb meaning brighter lights all round.
i couldn't believe just how bright the tail and stop lights were following at night it was like following a brand new Merc or BMW. amazing!
