    Question Fuse box

    OK, I took the fuse box out of my Cossie (white one) as I burnt the one in my blue one (fan fuse melted it!). Anyway, has anybody done this before as when I removed it from the white Cossie I just cut the wires, got it home and then disconnected the wires from the box. So now all I have is an empty fuse box. What I don't want to do is take all the wires out of the fuse box in the blue Cossie and forget where they all go. And there isn't much room to remove the wires individually and put them in the new fuse box one at a time (if that makes sense?).

    Any ideas would be appreciated

    Thanks.

    Re: Fuse box

    Did it! I just had enough room to take the wires out one by one and refit them into the new fuse box........bit fiddly and took some time, about hour and half, but got there in the end!

    Just got to charge the battery and check all the wires are in the right place and working OK.

    God I'm good!!

    Sorry Scouse, I was winding you up after you spent ages rewiring.
    To be honest I know absolutely nothing about Cossies.

    CheeRS Dave!

    I went out there last night to see if I'd fooked up! Anyway, everything seems to be OK, just have to wait now and see if it all works when the engine is in pray:

    At least I can disconnect the wiring to the fans (I put in a switch after I melted the fan fuse), but then might be an idea to keep it as a safety precaution

    And can anyone tell me why might battery light and oil lights don't come on on the dash? It was like this even before I re-wired it. The hand brake light works and so does the ABS light and, yes, I have checked the bulbs!
    Was wondering if the lights don't work 'cos the alternator and oil light is disconnected from the engine? Suppose if I "earth" them then they should light up again?

    @Scouse

    You are correct, the reason they don't work is that they are getting no earth through their respective devices. Short each one to earth and the lamp will light.
