Valve clearances

Hi just setting my valve clearances with super tech double valve springs and dtec35 cams they all give between 0.010 and 0.008 for both inlet and exhaust I am tempted to leave this as they are all very similar and just outside tolerance on a few on the exhaust my question really is should I worry about 0.002 of an inch on some clearances or leave it?

too big or too small? 2 thou isnt much and if its 2 thou large i wouldnt worry ( they tens to close up in use)

Too small I'm tempted to leave it as it all needs running in then recheck after a bit of mileage has been put on just didn't want to damage anything

Hmmm! 0.002 under is between 20 - 25% of total clearance! As Graham says better be over than under! It'll make more power at the top end of the tolerance. Is it worth potentially burning a seat or knocking out a rocker for another 1/2 hr?

True. Is it that 0.010 is the measurement but no +\- tolerances? I would have thought that Kent would have put a +\- somewhere maybe I can have a jiggle about and get two 0.009s
