    Quaife 60g noises!

    Hi all,

I bought a 60g recently and while I've had straight cut boxes before, I've never had a sequential.

I'm looking for some advice on wether strange jangly noises are normal, or if the box has been assembled wrong?? The idle chatters a bit, which might be normal, but the noise on overrun is horrendous!!

Maybe it's the way it is and I need to get used to it, but some advice would be great

I'll get some videos up soon

    Thanks!

My quaife 26z sequential did all that & my sadev sequential sounds like a mix of scrap steel & bricks in a cement mixer!

It's the random noises that are hard to understand but they mostly all do it. I doubt there is anything wrong

    Quaife 60g noises!

Happy days! The supplier assured me all was fine 🤔 but my tranx dog box never made any clattery noises so I assume it's a sequential box trait? Thanks for confirming!

Yea as above, I put a brand new 60g in last year and the noises are horrible and I'd have been thinking exactly the same as you if it wasn't new.

Bloody horrible boxes and their customer is twice as bad if you need it serviced get it done by Camillus Bradley it might be quicker sending it to Ireland than bloody Quailfe

I'm waiting to see what my Tractive box is going to be like !!

cant hear mine much with a stilo helmet on, when i got it from Camillus he told me when it needs service he can arrange courier to collect and return it with fast turn around much better than quaife

quaife and elite are noisy agricultural lumps, the tractive is one of the quietest on the go,gear change can be a bit fierce when dawdling about but like an auto box when on the rev change setting

Couldn’t agree more.. underload it’s quite quiet but in neutral or overrun then noisy. Iv hadmine 2 years from new, absolutely spot on. Iv just stripped it this winter for inspection and I’m chuffed to see how little it’s worn.
