Fiesta mk6 1.6 tdci no power

My diesel fiesta developed a fault the other day whete it has no power like turbo isnt working

Had it happen before where it was a faulty egr valve
Car will drive fine with the maf sensor unplugged but throws up a fault code because its unplugged

When everything is plugged in its sluggish and slow

Changed the egr for a new one and its still the same

most likely its the MAF at fault, if its not showing the ecu a rise in airflow the ecu wont give any fuel, thus no power, but unplugged the ecu wont know the amount of air going into the engine so it will assume a 50% default fueling level so you will have some power but a light on with it.

Did you try clearing the codes when you substituted the maf?

    Yes codes have been cleared
Changed it back to the original one last night and it seems a little better this morning

Think both are faulty so ill try another one
Unless there is any way of testing them

Re: Fiesta mk6 1.6 tdci no power

Right still battling on with this and getting nowhere
Changed the egr valve for a brandnew one with brandnew gasket plate
Still the same except in now get
    Engine malfunction sign pop up

When this comes on the car drives fine with good boost

However when i turn the ignition off and on it clears and runs with no boost again

Fiesta mk6 1.6 tdci no power

This can be caused by faulty heater plugs on the 1.6 believing it or not but I can't remember if em light shows

yes light will show when glow plugs are faulty and it will put the car into limp mode but be careful they are prone to snap off this 1.6 tdci engine is a little shit done a couple of them with this problem had two cars that snapped then its head off job
