The skill involved is just brilliant, i will be using many of the photo's as a guide for doing mine

Kurust on most parts but I've been using zintec sheet for the repair sections. All I have is a grinder & a 240v reciprocating saw.
Bending with a length of angle iron, vice & hammers
This has taken a serious back seat so far this year. There has been a little more done than shown but very little really.
I had to move it so it almost went completely but it's currently sat in a temporary new home awaiting a proper space in the garden to keep/work on it until it eventually goes to Trigs for whatever is left to do, filler & paint
Bump to the top things will be moving on now it's in the dry.
Been a few weekends now lee
Hexham and District Motorclub
In all fairness that drivers floor pan at the beginning did take just a weekend to do
It was when it came off the road in Oct 2009 it all went wrong
Hope we are going to see some more progress

I'll sort something out for you at some point

I think she spent about 2 months in having the main welding finished off as I had nowhere to do it myself or anywhere to keep the car.

From there, Trig very kindly took her to Dave's who very kindly lent me his garage so I could get more bits done while his was in being painted!! I had to have back panel, door bottoms [inside & out], wings welded on & a right rear arch I think..... This was summer 2014!!

While at Dave's I managed to get a lot of the fitting up & replacements bits & pieces done - I won't bore you with too much but it was what is the usual I guess
Rebuilt master cylinder/brake lines, replaced & re-routed fuel lines, refitted extinguisher, welded in seat bars, fitted decambered single leaf springs, new ball joint boots, calipers, binned the boot [which I later replaced with a better one], fitted plates from rear seat belts, etc etc

And eventually it ended up back on it's wheels

And I'm pretty certain Trig was at the rescue again to take it to another mate's [Stu] who lives about half a mile from me rather than the other side of Bristol that Dave does Had a few bits to finish off there including the boot swap & repairing the front edge of the bonnet

This was around Christmas time 2014 & not long into the New Year it went off for prep & paint......

I don't know what I got up to. And I don't know where any of the photos are. FB or an old phone I expect
But I secretly took a day off & got it MOT'd with only a few people knowing on a Thursday I think it was. I moved the car to the lock up I had rented on the Saturday & then on the Sunday we had our local "Queen Square Breakfast Meet" which we used to attend pretty much monthly. I popped out early, swapped cars, then returned in the Escort to pick the kids & girlfriend up If only I could have got a photo of their faces
Edit - This was October 2015!!
Anyway, it's first outing.....
As you can see. It wasn't 'finished' as such. Trim missing, no carpet, no badges, old steering wheel.... But it was taxed & MOT'd for the first time in six years
Post paint. Pre bolting stuff back on...
Pre prep/paint...
Been following you on Flickr for a while now
Recent snow pics were cool
Need more Escort pics though ...
Great to see it finished looks awesome
The garage looks smart too
