    Bosch lambda sensor part number

Anyone have the part number for the lambda sensor as used on the 4x4 L8 ecu models with closed loop fuelling? It's a 3 wire, m18 threaded part. MSD have a compatible Bosch sensor listed on their site, but it's a rather cheeky £62 and I'm fairly sure the generic Bosch part doesn't cost that much, since it's not badged as a Cossie part, as such.

Any generic wire cheapy should do fine.

How long the cheap ones last is another matter

I think I managed to find this out today - it looks like the part MSD sell is a Bosch LS02 unit (there's a much longer part number available if you search for Bosch LS02); it's a standard 3 wire connection with m18 thread.

I saw threads on Passionford talking about Titanium lambda sensors being recommended as they're faster responding, but they're stupid money compared to the Bosch.

Honestly a 3 wire sensor is purely narrow band and not suited to a performance application that required richer fueling - narrowband are only accurate at or around 14.7:1 AFR! Try here for wide variety of sensors... http://www.lambdasensor.com/main/muniversal.htm. Two same colours are heater + & - the other is the signal. M18 thread is universal.

It's all the standard L8 ecu is wired up to do, unfortunately. I've only got a relatively basic setup: group A head gasket, dark greens, -31 actuator and a upgraded T3 along with the MSD chip to suit - maybe 330bhp.

The closed loop setup only works on part throttle; it's disabled on startup, high boost and high rpm, from what I've read; it really just improves economy at part throttle (steady speeds).
