Nissan cabstar engine

Can anyone help,i have a nissan cabstar 2008,the 2.5 head gasket has gone,i have been told these engines are totally crap,so im thinking of changing it for another engine.Does anyone know which engines are compatible and where i do not have to change the gearbox as well.

i doubt you will find any other engine which will do especially if you dont want to change the box

They're not crap engines; it's probably not been looked after.

For example: did you know that it's imperative you drain your cooling system every five years to renew the antifreeze content?

Antifreeze doesn't lose its' anti freeze properties over time but it does lose it's anti corrosion properties causing many cooling system problems including head gasket failure.
