If you want an affordable quality head, Vulcan Engineering is a company who can help you. I don't know what valves Burton put in the complete heads but the one they sell you can eat like chips. Top of the valves are usual worn after running in an setting up the carbs on the dyno.

That's not good. Have you contacted Burton about this?
When you say "usual" how many worn valves in Burton heads did you have?

How many? Every time I had a head in with Burton valves and it for several years already, at least 5 or longer. After a rally season you got some kind of mushroom at the top of the stem and valve can not even been taking out anymore. You need to remove the metal before you can take them out or destroy the valve guides.

Why do I have to contact Burton about this issue? I don't buy my valves at Burton. These are customers engines. But Burton is not worse, I've seen valves from MOSS (Triumph and MG stuff) and stem is worn out +/- 0,5 mm over the length from running in the valve guides after 5000 Km

It sounds like far Eastern Valves. Burton's are no longer the seal of quality, they put profit first nowadays and sell a lot of the cheapest components they can source.
