best car i have driven only round the pits at lydden hill was my mate liams rs200 rallycross car
best car i have driven only round the pits at lydden hill was my mate liams rs200 rallycross car
Different cars for different reasons:
Audi UR Quattro Turbo - my first car with abs, my first turbo, and my first 4wd - still the best sounding car I've ever had.
Nissan Skyline R32 GTR V-Spec II - a relatively standard car at only 360bhp, but it had Nismo R-Tune suspension and was the best handling car on a smooth surface I've ever had.
Probably me mate's brothers R33 with 550bhp, We all went to Southport and he had a whitey when we got there (to much waccy baccy). I 'convinced' him to let me drive it back. I melted it all the way back to Liverpool on the country lanes - amazing!
Also back in '85 I owned an '81 Colt Lancer Turbo (Pre-cursor to the Evo), at the time nothing could touch it (including plod), strangely it would pull real hard to 130 then bam! the limiter would come on, not 1 mph over 130.
No Pics of mine but almost exactly the same as this one. Awesome in it's day.
i've drove a couple of BMW's and they are really nice, but i love a mk5 fiesta, im on my 3rd one now, and its quick, looks good, has a fine interior and doesn't kill petrol or my wallet.
this is the one i've got now, only done 33k the other day FFSH, and its great.
Paul.
its nt realls a sports car or anthing but my mate has got a 1.8 16v clio turbo running bout 270BHP its good fun to drive and be in cause no one expects a rattly looking clio to leave most things at the light and also chace lambos etc up 2 140 lol on private roads obv.
But when i got to drive my escort for the 1st time in 4 years it was the best thing in the world made me happy and i like the feeling of the older ppl stoping and stearing can allways tell the older ppl that wew into cars and the ones that wernt.
One that stands out most in my mind would be when i was a lot younger @chelsea crise and i got to have a go of a proper RUF 911 Turbo....had a pukka plate as well A13LAG
A BLAG Remember almost losing it off the roundabout as it came on boost!!
Loved driving my old Cortina though, everything about it, the ride, the smell,Cant wait to get one back on the road!!
Old skool forever
Just don`t tell the wife
how much it really costs!
For me, it would either be this
or this
Regret selling either of them, but then again I've got my Escort now
No doubt about it. The best drive I've had was my Esprit.
Even Jeremy liked it
my mates brand new focus rs,in white, everything on it,only 20 miles on the clockWOW,what a car, love it,makes my mk1 focus rs slow....lovely car,if you get the chance to drive one, jump in....
One that i love driving the most is my capri.
Best handling etc is probably the girlfriends mazda.
If only i had the time and money to make a rotary powered capri!
I cant beleive ive never thought of a rotary capri!
The best car ive ever driven was my A reg RX7, (till this happend)
A four foot dent in the front - and it still drove fine, not sure how
I realy wish id kept the engine from it now, it was a brilliant engine and would realy make the capri go some.
best i've ever driven woule have to be my dads Shelby GT500
Best car i've ever owned would have to be my VR6 golf (black one)
oooh its gotta be me capri.
best ever rear wheel drive action
loads of fun fast or slow
my 2wd saff - Castle Performance built. Quickest car ive been in to date... the only car i wish I never sold, i replaced it with a boring scooby
best car i've ever driven was a renault 5 gordini,
absolutley terrifying on a tarmac stage, got taken out in a passenger run to show me the route, was given a shot at a moderate pace then got taken out again and shown how it should be done,
all thanks to my dads boss
I have neve driven any supercars. But the most impressing motor has to be the new Focus RS.
Either that or my -97 Transit Van That N/A diesel pulls like a train trough the rev range.
Mondeo 2.2 TDCI Titanium with 183BHP and 390 ft/lb has to be one of the nicest road cars I've had the pleasure of driving/owning.
My 08 Legacy Diesel is now well and truly run in, and its a pleasure, though I do miss the ponies that the Mondeo had.
Never driven anything really exotic, though if anyone would lend me a 6R4 for the day, that'd be the top of my list. I've driven an Escort Cosworth 4x4, at Silverstone and around the lanes, but it didn't really 'turn me on' that much.
I've had a passenger ride in a Focus WRC driven by Francois Duval around Donington, and a Focus RS driven by Ralph Firman, and those were some of the most enjoyable laps I've had the pleasure of being in a car with 'pro' drivers.
well mines not as good as some on here but i was 17 just passed my test when my older sisters boyfriend came round in his astra gsi he let me have the keys (idot)
nothing felt so fast i can remember thinking i will never need more than 150bhp it felt so fast but that soon wore off but that first feeling of a bit of power still chasing that now with a 400bhp+ cossie will i ever get that back
would have to be an audi ur quattro for me or a 3 door cossy! Sat in colin mcraes old mk2,lol! was good enuf 4 me!!
The best care I've ever driven... hmmm let me see.
300hp MR2 Turbo.... No. no way.
750hp Supra Turbo..... no. dog.
500hp 300ZX..... YUK! evil nasty horrid laggy thing.
450hp R32 Skyline GTR - close. Real fun. Loved it.
It has to be my 16v Belmont. The first time I took it out on track and opened the regulator and let it have a full head of steam, it was a case of "Man, I gotta get me one of these" (like Will Smith in Independance Day). Then I looked around, I do got me one of these!!
(now look for the worst car you've ever driven)
So far I think it's got to be my old ek9 type r just for the feeling and the handling
and most of all the vtec lol
fastest so far my skyline r32 but it's a bit slippy when on boost so can't really open it up round the corners
dream car 04 s/cl 65 amg v12 twin turbo. I really want one lol
but I'm hoping all that will change with a nice yb mk2
I had to drive this into work the other day to do some work on it
V8 stock car
sideways is the best way to turn a corner
best car i've driven is a mk3 toyota supra 3.0 i turbo automatic, was my brothers and was just such a comfy fast smooth car, i could cruise 1000 miles all day at 120mph in pure silence, so nice and smooth.
nicest car i've driven was a 1970's rolls royce silver cloud in imaculate condition, was abit nurveus driving that though, very big.
but the mosty fun i have ever had or possible ever could have behind the wheel was my old 2.0 laser capri, what just so much fun, you could give it endless abuse and it did exactly what you wanted it to do but with the odd cheaky surprise, sooo much fun
its not dead till it's buried!
T.I.T engineering. "Feel the power!"
always liked a 911 but had a soft spot for a wide body starion turbo back in the day
Nissan GTR at work is on rails. But pants in the snow.
My gaffer lends me cars sometimes an my favourite has to be a 90 defender 2.5 diesel guess im just a gypo at heart.
Pard
My Evo 6 when its working because I waited 7 years to get one and it didn't diasspoint although it has broken a lot!!!!
Best ever was an Aston martin not sure which model but I had to collect it for my mate as he was too busy and didn't want to let down the customer it was fun when nobody could see me
My best was a ford granada mk3 : the best cruiser ever!
And it was my first car.....
I've owned lots, Nobles, 911 C4, 911 Turbo, E30 M3, Lotus etc, driven lots, M3, M5, Exige turbo, Caterham R400 and on and on, but still my favourite is my old CSL, that was just perfection incarnate! (sorry Madboy )
But my dream car is still a GT3RS.... one day......
