    Clodbuster/RS2000 QD

Got given a Clod QD on the weekend, its one of the ready to run basic jobbies that takes ordinary batteries, gonna stick a bigger motor and a connector for a proper battery pack in it, but in the mean time i thought i'd sort out another shell for it.

Reckon i'm gonna need a Zakspeed kit??

They were around in the late 80's/early 90's when I bought my Tamiya Lunchbox. I think they are Tamiya aren't they?

Strip the gear box and clean it up. Put ball races in instead of the plastic bearings. A decent motor, and it should fly! .. my LunchBox does. Only problem is I can't steer it cos the front wheels are never on the ground

Thats the first thing i do to all of mine, along with a better motor and electronic speed controller, my old Blackfoot flies, this ones for my daughter to play with though so i'm not gonna speed it up till she gets the hang of driving it.

Might consider selling my Lunch Box if anyone interested. Depends on the price offered. No pics at the moment. It has a quick motor, elec speed controller, ball races instead of the plastic efforts. rear suspension is slightly modded because the original was crap. Shell could do with a repaint but it's all good.

Dunno if I want to part with it. I should really because i never use it these days
