    atlas axle

just wondering if anyone knows but ill be fitting an rs2000 engine in my rwd mk1 fiesta project and will be using an atlas axle but just need to know if a atandard axle casing and shafts with an lsd would handle 240 bhp and 9000 rpm or would i need to spend big money on an axle?

The weight of your car helps, the standard shafts are quite strong, i remember the old 2.8I capri, dumping the clutch and never doing any damage.

I ran a standard atlas in the G3 for a few years on around 20 rallies and never had a problem, that was on 15" slicks and a 240 horsey redtop.

    I run 240 bhp and 262lbs on a standard 2.0ltr capri axle, no problems(yet).

Jeez Mark, that's going to have to be a very special Pinto to get 240bhp, unless you're turbocharging it?
