    Alternate Alternator Position

Hey guys, hoping to find someone else dealing with the same problem I have. Putting a blacktop Zetec in my MK2 RS2000 via a retro ford stage 2 conversion kit. Everything going well except for the need to keep the standard escort brake booster tower assembly. Obviously don't want it but will need it to get the car engineered and on the road. I have tweaked the angle of the tower to make room for ITBs the problem is the alternator. Standard mounting high on the induction side doesn't work. No real estate. Need to relocate it to low on the exhaust side. It is a pain and major inconvenience but has to be done. Hoping for someone who has done the same and has a template for a mounting bracket. Actually will take any input advice I can get.

    Cheers in advance

    Alternate Alternator Position

Quite common. Look at the link in left of this post for my second project to see how I went about it with pics.

i like the look of that one..........

i have a cast one like the 3rd pic ( i guess this is based on it) but tried it on the st motor with a zetec escort alternator and the alt sits too far forward. i can modify but its v. heavy as well ...............

that was supposed to show the middle pic in the quote
