Twin 40 Webers - Ignition Advance and Remote Servo Vacuum
Hi Everyone,
I have a 1660 crossflow, with a 234 cam, high compression pistons larger valves and ports etc for fast road use.
I need to buy an ignition system for this, so i thought I would look into the accuspark kits. Do I need to buy the kit with the vacuum advance and will this fit fine with my remote servo vacuum line as I only have one vacuum port on the inlet manifold.
Apologies for the noob question, but this is the first time I have looked at this kind of thing.
Any help would be much appreciated!

Re: Twin 40 Webers - Ignition Advance and Remote Servo Vacuum
the vacuum advance wont work properly connected to only one inlet tract, that and the fact the distributor base plate ( and thus timing) is more stable without vacuum is why most things with twin sidedrafts do not use vacuum advance

Thank you for your advice. I was wondering how it could possibly work if it was only on one inlet. I will buy the non vac kit now then.

Re: Twin 40 Webers - Ignition Advance and Remote Servo Vacuum
how about a mapped ignition system? i have an omex ecu and loom for sale and its mapped for exactly that engine, the only thing you would need it a trigger wheel and sensor mounting and a tps sensor for the carbs. if you are local i could help you out with the install and aligning the wheel and synchronising the ecu to the engine sensors

Re: Twin 40 Webers - Ignition Advance and Remote Servo Vacuum
I may do at a later date, but I just want to get my project finished for summer at the minute lol. However, thanks for the offer. I am actually now living in Tibshelf not sheffield, so about 10 miles away.
Just out of interest, how much is the set up?
