Escort mk1 rear axle ratio choice

Got an mk1 escort with 2L zetec and rx8 gearbox 195/50/15 7j wheels.
What is your rear axle ratio preferetion for that setup?
4.11/3.89/3.54/3.09?

1st is really short so 3.54 b my opinion I'm running 3.44 atlas but that's with 255.40.17 tyres

3.54 is an English axle ratio, rest is Koln/Atlas. Koln/Atlas equivalent is 3.56 but rare.

What do you want to use the car for? Good motorway manners (not screaming its nuts off at 70) will require something different to a track warrier, hill climb/race/rally car.

Ignore the 1st it's for shopping.
As above was do you want from it ? 4.1 is OK local 3.89 good all round and 3.54 better cruise but remember the rs could pull a 3.54 and you have more power so don't go too low
Although the extra gear and big wheels will help there
