Weber 40 DFAV choke assembly help please

I have a Weber 40 DFAV choke assembly, although it should be obvious I cannot assemble the bits in the picture and make it work

I have a Weber manual but there is nothing in there showing the spring, just advice saying fit the spring correctly...very helpful
Does anyone have any useful info on assembly or better still a pic of where the spring should go
