    Starting point

Installing a yestertech ignition on a 2L Zetec that is very basic. Easy initial setup and I am looking for a starting point for ignition advance at idle. Also, what is the maximum advance allowable for one of these engines.

    Thanks in advance.

8 - 10 degrees usually works ok for cranking and 10 - 15 at idle. Max advance can be in high 30's - low 40's in cruise conditions.
