    Question 1982 Honda CM 250 T

Hi all, as above, the bike is only running on one side of the twin engine.

Could this be due to a faulty coil/rectifier?

    Thanks in advance.

Could this fault be due to the poor holding charge from the battery by any chance?

No mate highly unlikely will be battery related, first do a spark test and if you dont have the tools theres always the old skool way

Take the HT lead off, put a screwdriver into the lead as long as it touches its ok, put the opposite end of the screwdriver near something thats earthed, leave a 2mm ish gap and crank. If its sparking you will see it arc betweek the screwdriver and earth point, then you know its not electrical and its compression related.

Also, take out the plugs and check them, swop them over see if the same bank still missfires.

Gave the battery a slow trickle charge today and put 2 new plugs in and fired her up. Both banks are running as they should be.

Must have been the Plugs, could have been the battery but a lot less likely
