needs mapping and wont pull cleanly on booting it, it bogs down. so tbh its not worth taxing it this year. i have simply been too busy to play with it..
i also need to get the westfield done for next summer as it needs selling to pay for this mk1

holy thread revival ! 7 years on and im back in the garage
glad your still about
its worse now than when i left off
but im having an hour at a time stripping surface rust / paint on the "good" bits and getting it in Bonda. (google this stuff - seems very good )
once i have something to show for my efforts i will upload some pics.
times have changed since i left off, panel availability (and quality )is so much better and the investment levels required makes more sense.
and since i sold the mk2 i have a budget to work with too
so stage 1 is to clean up all the bits that wont be cut off and get it ready to move to the house over winter for some welding practise
that way it should be less messy in the garage at home, well hopefully anyway
a lot of hard graft and little to see really !
most of the crap and surface rust has been removed from the bits that are staying, pitted areas treated and then gone over again before giving it a coat of "Bonda" primer.
front
back
doesnt look much but its progress and hopefully i can soon get onto doing some repairs
Nice to see a follow up after a long break
The Bonda primer is excellent, especially when sprayed (thinned as per instructions) I’ve been using it on direction of the guy who will be doing my paint.
Look forward to future updates
I just went through this whole thread, glad you are back at it, now get going
