    building my pinto engine, searching for some help and advices

    hi! my name is manuel, im from uruguay and im the owner of one escort mk2. some time ago i brought a pinto 2.0 engine early type, and want to rebuild it. im thinking to make standard with the kent cams fr32 or maybe fr33, but i need to work my head? what pistons and bearings should i use? looking for some advices, here in uruguay this engine is very rare so i don't know really where can i start...

    these was the bearings from my pinto, it was std i think

    can i use the fr33k in a std engine?

    you can, but the head will need the spring platforms machining to suit the valve springs that go with the cam, and you need to raise the compression to make the most of it, also it will have a very poor idle/low speed if you stick with a twinchoke downdraft carb

    Thank you graham, should i use fr32k? I Will use 3236 carb or maybe a twin 45 dcoe later...
