Power lite starter fitted without remote solenoid

I've just fitted a powerlite starter motor to my Rs2000 and I've noted that it can be run without the remote solenoid, has anybody else run with a similar setup?and do you know which wires need to be run directly to the starter other than the battery cable.

Your right graham it was originally fitted with acrossflow, I will remove the remote solenoid and attach the trigger wire directly to the starter Cheers
