Stack Dash (ST8100) - What GPS unit

    Hey Guys,

Anyone running the Stack ST8100 dash with GPS speed sensor?

I have the wheel sensor but am thinking of going GPS.

Has anyone used another GPS unit and coupled it to the Stack unit?

Autometer do a generic one that will fit no probs and is a lot cheaper than the Stack one which will take a while to order and arrive

    Cheers

    Matt

Remember that a GPS will give you ground speed, not your true speed if on a Hill etc. You could always use a canbus GPS and just pick up the speed tag that way?

    Thanks for that

I have the wheel speed sensor but just think the gps would be better overall

    Cheers

I have a stack st8130 in my escort, I use the wheel speed pickup on my front wheel, it's set / calibrated correctly and works well, not as quick to respond has a normal dash, I would only imagine a gps would be even slower,

I used a standalone gps speedo to check mine was right.
