Thought I would share my video from my weekend in North Wales in my kit car, if it wasntr for this forum, I would never have had the confidence to build the turbo motor, so thank you!

Looks like you had a good weekend in our great British weather... Always fancied doing a kit car
Was great fun, even in the rain.
The Ford Pinto engine was the unofficial but generic nickname for a four-cylinder internal combustion engine built by Ford Europe. In Ford sales literature, it was referred to as the EAO or OHC engine and because it was designed to the metric system, it was sometimes called the "metric engine". The internal Ford codename for the unit was the T88-series engine. European Ford service literature refers to it as the Taunus In-Line engine (hence the TL codenames) and the Lima In-Line (LL)
Hopefully improved the fuel consumption ! ! ! 5 miles / litre in a car that weighs nothing!
I was going through a period of making improvements, including a complete new engine build, bigger turbo etc etc. Made about 300bhp and was great to drive but then I decided to build a new car. The engine lives on in the new build though and now has an even bigger turbo There is a thread with the videos of the new build on here http://www.turbosport.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1707318
Not as light as you would think, these Robin Hood monocque styles 7s come in aroun 750kg. Also the tune on the car at this point was one I had created myself, was far from optimal and was at least a little rich everywhere, but especially in boost. Never worked it out fuel economy after getting the map sorted as soo after that came the built engine and that wasnt on the road long before I started the new build.
If talking about my daily - between 60 - 65 / gallon or about 200 miles / 17 litres? or the plaything?
I don't know anymore as I can't afford the 120 octane fuel LOL! Regular riding I guess 25 ish / gallon but on boost i've had a similar bike use 4.5 gallons in 15 odd passes up a dragstrip - that was ok though - it was only 4* LOL
So as the Robin Hood was doing about 23 ish, I don't think that's too bad.
I had a Toyota Previa for 12yrs as a daily, I never saw more than 19 around town, and even that was tickling the throttle during the summer months, so no heater and no lights. During the winter it would do 15.
It never had the kind of performance of something that should do that sort of consumption either.
