    Re: Meet the 'Orange Thing'

Took some pics today, first couple are early this morning at the PYO Strawberry farm (same farm on the Morrisons add) yummy, Sharon wasnt too keen sitting on the wrong side but I loved it

Took the old girl to HT's to get some inspiration, luckly my design expert was there and we now think chrome number plate surrounds are the in thing.

Then home for some more photos, she is very clean, I plan to do a little facelift first so watch this space !

    Lovely car Clint
Surely It's gonna end up as a rally car though,LHD is preferred plus it's an automatic with a BIG tunnel

Re: Meet the 'Orange Thing' - More Pics Added

Cheers guys, the more I look at it the more I feel finding the right shell is one of the biggest chalanges to building a nice car, I have always had to restore first before modifications can begin, with the right shell your off to a running start

I did plan to kep it LHD and it will probably stay that way for now at least, I dont have a problem with it at all, and if it starts doing trackdays it will have a small advantage on most british race tracks, but we will see.

As for what engine to fit; I purchased a nice low milage cossie engine from a fellow turbosporter a few weeks ago, so I think that will do the trick nicely, so I have ordered some pistons from Steve at Vulcan's for it so I am going to build a mild NASP Cossie engine to fit in, keeping in mind that its to be used on the road so drivability and fuel economy is high on the list of wants.

Over the next few weeks while the engine gets built I am going to concentrate on braking and handeling, I want a nice neutral car but with some adjustability so if I want to do a sprint or track day I can dial in some more camber and castor easily.

I am going to remove the GL trim and probably fit some arches like Turks (see the gallery) some wide wheels with a reasonable dish on them to boot.

As soon as any work is done I will of course post some pics

A set of 13x8.5 rear and 13x8 front compomotive turbos with 195/45/13's and a few mm either side for clearance.....oh wait thats for my car only dont go prising hoarders rims from him

I recon do something different with the rims clint, everyone has minilites, rs4's, and revos.....take a look through the image catalogue and get a nice fat set of made to measure split rims

Ps did you get the back lights off your daughter, i dropped them off on my way home the other day?

If your leaving the outside of this car standard looking you have to get some banded steels. To look like lotus steels but with standard Ghia inners. To the untrained eye they won't look too much out of the ordinary but you will be able to go for 13x7 under those arches. Will look cool as fook but subtle with it.
