    Mk3/4 Fiesta zetec s race car project

    Quick Question if anyone can help I'm entering 750 mc Hot Hatch champ an im looking for a roll cage. Is there any other roll cages from other vehicle manufacturers that fit this modle.

    just so i understand you correctly. you are asking if maybe a cage from say a citroen, vw or something else will fit your car?

    the answer is NO, and even if one did sort of fit, its a pretty major bit of safety equipment, you would have to be mad to seriously consider trying to use a cage from a different car.

    not something you want to take chances with, either from the perspective of being refused a scrutineering ticket or your life if something were to go wrong.

    We bought a Mk2 Escort shell that a lad had started preparing. He had neatly welded all the boxes in for the cage to mount on, the only problem was that the cage was some sort of universal thing that does n't even touch any of the body. The front bars go straight down to the floor and no where near the windscreen pillars. The cage is now in the scrap pile.

    New cages are very expensive especially the weld in ones but it's not worth the risk of cutting corners. Sometimes it's cheaper to buy a car with one fitted and the rest of it prepped if it's to a high standard.
