32/26 DGAV anti stall leaking - can i blank it.

despite diaphragm looking ok when i stripped it recently , there is fuel dripping from the vent hole now it has fuel in the carb.
now i know i can buy a full service kit but can i actually delete this part ? early carbs dont have it.
i have found reference to removing cover and diaphragm and blocking the hole (i cant remember whats there without checking).
    anyone done this ?

Yes, you can blank without any problem. This was invented when they leaned out carbs so far they they start to misfire from time to time. This acc. pump "saved" from stalling. We will not tune so lean anyway.

Sorry for my late replay. I'm overloaded with work in my workshop.

as it happens i managed to rob a spare diaphragm from another carb, not quite same but fitted and sealed it off. i blanked the vac line at carb anyway so its not doing anything.
running like absolute shite tho i think i will fit a later electronic dizzy tomorrow just to eliminate the spark side ( strobe light going dead when engine drops off)

    thanks for the confirmation tho
