    mk1 screen seal rubbers

    Can anyone recommend where to get best screen seals, front and rear?

    Are they ok? as I read that some peeps have had probs with them not fitting very well and leaking!!

    I've got one ready to go in my car and its nice and soft and it seems to fit the hole pretty well.
    Haven't fitted the actual screen yet so can't comment on the leakage side of things.
    Regardless, I'm going to be using non setting screen sealant anyway. I'm confident mines not going to leak

    Mine are fitted. Escort mk1.No leaks. Fitter commented what good quality they were.... best he'd used for ages on a classic😊

    IT seem to be one of those things that people cannot re- produce correctly. I've tried three different manufacturers now inc east Kent and to be honest all shite, be it on a mk1 cortina not escort but a rubber is a rubber. badly fitting corners, rubbers to short, wrong profile so edges curl up. I've had to super glue some edges to make them look something like. Even had differences from the same manufacturer ! As for leaking just use windscreen sealer on fitment.bit messy I know but cures that problem.
