    Twin cam mk1

ok guys it has been some considerable amount of time since ive been on here but just landed a new project that i would like to share.scored a decent early mk1 escort and also got a cosworth yb engine and transmission that is going to be transplanted into the car(after some mods obviously)was thinking of a stock twincam look in ermine white with lotus steel wheels thoughts?? i have a dyno sheet and the cosworth is rated at 330 bhp with level 6 ecu

Ermine white sounds cool, you just have to consider what brakes you can fit under the steels.

I have to agree with leaving it in the garage when wet, mine lit up the rears in 3rd in the dry on sticky tyres!

You will need uprated driveshafts/diff if you are keeping the English, and even at that you will find they are on the limit

Nice project though, look forward to seeing it develop

    Twin cam mk1

Great project. Been there and done it but we stripped and blasted the shell.....and it virtually came back in a box!!! Fitted nearlly all the panals you could get 5 yrs ago and all went on ok albeit with the usual pushing, pulling, trimming that comes with panels. Mot xmas week hopefully.
Doing good job m8,keep it up

not rite sure what weight it will be but the car is/will be fully trimmed and just the extra weight of the bigger front brakes and cosworth engine with rx8 6 speed
