Very reluctant sale of my 1964 Ford Anglia 105e.
The car was rebuilt around 12 years ago and was never used, it just sat in the garage. I picked her up and have been gradually doing it up. The engine is the very rare and desirable Cortina 1500 pre crossflow lump running a 4 speed gearbox. I replaced the head gasket on the engine and it’s been fully serviced inc a new starter motor and alternator. Engine starts runs and stops.
The body and chassis are absolutely 100% solid, underneath is wax oiled and looks great. All panels are straight and original and it still retains its original steel front wings. Many upgrades such as the RS wheels, fog lights, recaro seats etc. Its has a front disc brake conversion so she also stops well.
There are only a few things which let it down. The interior needs some tidying, I was going to put in a new carpet (only around £130) and tidy some of the wiring up, its down to personal choice. For some reason its had a sunroof fitted, no idea why but it looks okay and doesnt leak.
Paint needs work, ideally needs respray as its cracking in places, I guess that when painted in didn’t take in places, looks okay in pictures but ideally wants a respray.
Since MOT’ed almost a year ago it’s only been around the block several times as I have gradually being doing things which need doing, I wouldn’t recommend driving any distance as not tested on a long journey (only being honest). When driving there is a slight wobble from the back, I think one rear wheels has a slight buckle and something knocks when pulling off, it could be the steering box or a mount somewhere, I doubt anything serious.
Short MOT but will go straight through another, it only need the rear drums freeing off last time and its done about 20 miles since!
As mentioned I am really in two minds selling this, I love Classic Fords and I will really miss this car when it goes. It will only go up in value however I have financial commitments and just cant afford to have this sitting there at the moment.
More pictures are available on request, also comes with heap of magazines, some old photos and MOT certifciates
