Eurospeed Motorsport in Queensland Australia are now offering complete fitting kits for 2.0 and 2.3 Duratec's in RWD Escorts. They can also supply engines and boxes. Their conversion uses t9 5 speed boxes, 45mm throttle bodies and Haltec management. Basically bolt together, run efi pumps and swirl pot and off you fang. They have dino figures from a standard 2.3 of 172bhp at the wheels with their setup....not bad!!

Any pics of their kit ?

You say complete fitting kits, does this include things like alternator fitting kit ? wet sump, water rail etc ?

Are these parts made in Oz or are the sourced in the UK ?

SBD have managed 214bhp at the flywheel with a stock 2.0L On throttles and management.

Hi, they have got various alternator fitting kit options, wet sump from the UK and their own version of the water rail. Apart from the wet sump everything else looks to be made in Oz.

That all depends on what vehicle it's in, wheel horsepower is totally car and transmission dependant. It doesn't affect the engine power after all.

In answer to your question though, I don't know, it was measured on a dyno, so no transmission was involved.

There is a guy here in Adelaide who races a Mk1 escort with a duratec in it buy the name of Roger Carroll.
He has made his own cast ally Dry sump, bell housing (to run a rx7 gearbox) cast ally water rail which fits with no mods to the firewall, and is now working on cast ally engine mounts which will bolt up to the standard X-member.
so far he has a lot of interest from the clubman crowd.
I took a look at one of his sumps and it has been well engineered. I will get some pics next meet.
