is there any way to upload the video of the engine on the dyno? Only other info I've got on it is, cast block, 80.75 stroke and 93mm bore (2194cc so I stand corrected!)

it could still be running on rocket fuel for all we know, i dont believe that 256bhp is impossible from 2.2, just highly unlikely especially on pump fuel, but show some specs on the cam AND a set of airflow figures for the head and you might make a believer out of me

Your the one who wants every last detail about this engine which I can't give to you, so why not speak to him? Like I said, this thread hasn't served it's purpose, which was to find big power pinto's, NOT scrutinies one engines existence or sell an engine that's NOT up for sale!
Correct me if I am wrong but does n't the dyno data say the engine has max torque 172 lb ft and 247 bhp, the figures I have worked out bear that in mind.
It seems a very strong engine to have near flat torque curve from 6.000 rpm to 7.500 rpm which is very unusual for any Pinto. For it to be still making power at 8.500 is even more remarkable.
I would certainly want to know what head is flowing that much CFM to produce those figures, is it a modified cast head with down drought ports or is it a specially cast alloy head. More information would be appreciated instead of a lot squabbling.
well if all you wanted was find a big power pinto it seems you have, the only reason for asking for so many details is the numbers are unfeasibly large, smells of BS to most of us, but you seem so certain its correct and above board, despite not having a shred of evidence its actually 100% for real it comes across you have a vested interest.
im sure the engine builder is a nice chap, i am a nice chap too but that doesn't mean i want every tom dick or harry phoning me just because some other bloke on the web thinks it a good idea!

Forest_rallying, it's a standard cast head, not alloy.
It seems you do have info on this engine, you add more with every post, either youre making it up as you go along, or playing a game, if you do have info you may have saved alot of piss taking if you just added it in the first post.
The Dyno Sheet is a complete fake.
If you are calculated with the right formula the values do not go up.
The international values are KW (multiplied by 1.36 is HP) and NM.
The formula for the calculation is: P = M * n / 9550
P = power in kW
M = torque in Nm
n = speed in 1 / min
These are the approximate values from the sheet(I hope I am correct)

I just did and the title of the video is ''2.2 Pinto'' so as i posted earlier, its a long stroke Pinto, not a 2.1 as you started the post by saying, not that 110cc would make a huge difference, at least we are starting to get more info though, this is like a game of Cluedo! Also, how come the first dyno sheet shows 256hp and the second 247, looks to be slightly different to the pinto fitted in the car also.

i build much pintos in my life and for sure....at the moment i say 245+ hp from 2,0 is possible.
but not with Ikea Parts-----
a Ikea engine comes to 190 hp....
the rest is exact knowing what to do,
hours of hours dyno work,
lot of blood and money
i try much in the years,some knows my old videos of my green hill climb Mk1 Escort.
the strongest Steel valve Pinto i build was 236 hp, high rev 8400,reliable over years.
i find on much dyno hours a nice air horn shape that alone give 5hp,the second big step
come from the exhaust manifold,it give no big tourque drop before 8000,
it run with 200 nm at 8000,
all manifolds before give little more tourque(5-8) in the area 5000-7000,but then all they begin massive to drop.
so for a useable race engine you must look at the "drive area"
if loose 7 nm at 7000,but have+10 7500 +20 at 8000----give a simple higher power curve for drive area,
we named it power integral which is a simple calculation from a rev to power over rev
and for a good calculation of useable power integral ever use wheel power,
then you can set the best shift rev for every gear--simple basics to become faster than others
this year i start try Titan valves and do this with new valve Diameters (46/37)
parallel i test a few of cam Grinds (GTS7/HT1/HT1 opt/CatCams special/Ph6)
all i try with lash cap long differents-with 2 custom made Exhaust (12-34/2/1) (14-23/2/1)
ever in look of the best useable race engine.
my engines run ever on pad follower,no roller
for my experiance 13mm valve lift is the optimum,
more must you control with valve springs and there is a negativ circle in valve lift to valve spring pressure,
swinging cams is the result of to much valve spring load,
and thats the biggest advantage of the Titan valves,
you can run (child) spring loads and the drag in the valvetrain at high revs gets really down,
so the engine rev easily higher-more power is the result.
the mods giv around 15 nm+ at 8000
which is a nice number.
the power of a engine is ever a puzzle,a puzzle of Power parts/modds for reliable
every engine builder create his own puzzle parts,and work these out,
some puzzle parts are not knows for everyone
and there are basics puzzle parts for high power engines,
all parts must "work" together at the same rev area you want to see from the engine,
easy sign is a very loud clear induction noise in the power rev area,
if you often work at dyno you hear the power and tourque curve drops
if the ask come to flow figures,
never have a head from me on flow bench,
ever work after my feeling,
the pinto heads i machine in the inlet to 38mm with different angles, attention to a round port shape to the valve seat
my favorites heads are the latest 2.0 carb one(84hm stamped,note: it give 84hm 1600 emax heads to,these shit)
and late (after 1982) 1600 heads (stamped 70hm in my mind only to find in late capris)
the late heads don t crack-all cracked heads i see are 2.0 70m ones....

whats possible on 2,1 ? don t know exact------mostly build 1998ccm engines because the german rules
have a little brother of the titan valve engine 93mm bored (steel valves in 46/37,this was the earliest test head) in my street Cortina Mk4,
its on GTs7 -lash caped all to 13mm valve lift,4,7mm lift in TDC adjusted)Custom made Exhaust,
48 idf carbs(cheap chinese Items)/Air cleaner what is sure not the finest induction side for revs over 7000
tourque drops a 7200
but final it give 224 hp 7600/222 nm 5700 what is a relly nice sleeper for the street
interesting i read in some threads the head as the biggest power basic at the pinto:
i try following:
take a engine with 210 hp around,(48 carbs,big valve,HT1,all mods,good exhaust)
take a std injection head,decked it 2mm,modify ports inlet only Valve area,exhaust little more attention) with std valves,
take all the parts from the 210 hp engine(cam/valve springs)inlet/exhaust
dyno it....it made 179 hp on std valves,thats 30 hp to a full modd big valve head .Power come 500 revs earlier,which made it to a nice "street "engine
my experiance is.....if you have a good power puzzle construct,
you can do some little mistakes and the power drops not massive-you have a useable engine too
so now can everybody say my numbers are bullshit,
