    Cosworth P8 WASTE SPARK / DISS solution

    So guys,

    who wants to have WASTE SPARK, DISS..without any HW mods inside ECU? only software change inside bin file, and of course you need to wire 2nd ignition output from ECU, new amplifier...etc

    Solution is for FREE!!!!

    To Enable WASTE SPARK, DISS in EVERY P8 ECU software (Fiat, Lancia, Ford)

    Find address 07DF in hexeditor (or 87DF with offset)Default value at this place is "64" (hex mode) = this value 64 means "0" for ECU.

    ECU code has option for selecting Ignition driver mode (with distributor or without) so "64" = with distributor. Change this value to A0 or B0 = without distributor ...think its not very important (just higher than 64)(try and report)
    Now ECU will use 2nd spark output on PIN 26.

    In this setup you need to rewire your ignition system:

    PIN 24 - ignition ground
    PIN 25 - Ignition trigger for 2/3 cyls
    PIN 26 - Ignition trigger for 1/4 cyls

    You need to buy Ford EDIS 2x2 coil and another Ignition amplifier. Ground is same for both amplifier, just triggers on PIN 6 (amplifier) are differend (first amp is from ECU 25, second from 26)

    at last, dont forget to disable checksum controll (or calculate new checksum).
