    Re: rally design....

postage is very harsh imo. £9.50 postage for some brake pads I payed the other day . I ordered some more bits over the weekend using their new "stamps plus £2.00" option. Hopefully they have arrived today

i think with regards the postage... if your only buying small bits then wait till youve got a few small bits to get... saves on postage

    Thumbs down Re: rally design....

I ordered a big brake kit and a few silicon hoses for my MGB from them. First part shipment (opted to get the brakes shipped straight away as it was 6 weeks wait for the hoses) arrived without the pads for the brakes which should have been supplied. The second shipment with the hoses and the missing pads arrived today with wrong diameter reducer hoses. They never sent the catalogue I requested either.

RF don't like em... Also, they refused to replace faulty Wilwood discs and leaky AVO inserts, all just 3 months old too! Used to be ok tho.

    Re: rally design....

Never had a problem with them myself-spent quite a bit over the past few years and if the items in stock its been delivered next day-did a big order last week and a gasket wasnt in stock-this arrived a few days later post free-i also had a couple of wrong brake pipe fittings which they sent the correct replacements for free next day (My fault not theirs).

I think the postage is very reasonable considering what some people charge-its worth waiting for a few bits to order together if possible-then the £9.50 for next days good IMO.

I suppose you cant please all the people all the time-but so far i've been happy with both their products & service.

The replacement reducer hose turned up today - NOT

They sent the wrong hose again

    No catalouge either.

Wouldn't have been such a big issue if there wasn't a 6 week production time on this hoses. I'll keep bugging them until they send the correct hose then I'll take my business somewhere else

I need to apologies for my previous post. I didn't actually measure the last hose before my rant. What through me was the markings which states 28 - 32mm, but it was infact 28 -35mm when measured.

So rally design isn't as bad as I might have thought-

    Sorry

Always really helpful when we have used them, i know they moved premises at some point which could have resulted in some issues with transitional issues from one place to another, but really nice people.

    Re: rally design....

like most seem to suggest, get a list of a few things together, then send off, always better to speak to them tho i find. very good for stocking obscure items, BUT, i have found their fabrication bits, ie, four link boxes etc,, not to be of the best quality out there! their despatch turn around time is second to none imo.

Well I ordered yesterday morning at 11:00 and all the parts turned up at 12:00 today. I am so disapointed not a thing wrong with the order. The only bad thing is I have to fit all the parts now

    Re: rally design....

agree with all of the above positive comments, the thing i really like is that if they have a stock or supply problem they ring and let you know, i dont mind waiting for stuff if i know whats happening, lots of other companies would just sit and wait and then send out the parts when they have them or wait for you to ring them.

pawson - ive built a couple of diffs with the rally design cwp sets, of all the aftermarket cwps ive seen these are quite good, they respond well to depth of mesh shim changes and build up quite well, as far as long term reliability goes i cant comment, but the guys ive built them for havent rung me back yet so all looks good so far!
