    Escort 13" tarmac brake options

    Right guys...

Alcon or AP for a 13" tarmac setup? Any first hand experience of both?

Ive been running AP's for a long time, cant fault them, ive heard Alcon are as good if not slightly better, i believe Alcons carry a bigger pad.

CP5219 is ultimate AP kit available for a 13" wheel 277x25 J hook disc and billet caliper takes same pad as 15" caliper.
Compomotive ML wheel fits but a revolution wont. Solution is to machine disc and radial bracket to bring caliper closer to point of rotation.
Expensive kit because its a billet caliper unlike the cast caliper on the 4567 kit, but very effective.
Friction performance do a 6 pot to suit a 13" wheel but very expensive.

Im might buy this kit for my mk2 also, if you are able would you be so kind and measure the maximum outer radius of the caliper body in relation to the hub centre?
I have compomotive ml now but are thinking of fittting a set of 7,5" x-pack wheels.
