    Xflow head

    Hi all,
Just want to share this with you.
I've removed my head to have a look of what's inside, I bought the complete engine few years ago, after some use and abuse, I decided to convert to 16V.
I knew that it has flat top piston, but it seems to be a nice work...

Chambered head by Vulcan or someone of that ilk, nice piece of work.

    Re: Xflow head

Would this combo really work better then flat head and chambered pistons ?

I think it was so you could use lighter pistons and rev move ??? It was a bit of a trick back in the days of x-flow tuning.

I think I saw a IKengineering sticker on the distributor, might be an engine build by them ?
I didn't removed yet the piston, As wildo105e said, a bit of modern touch in this engine back in 80's I guess
With a all steel bottom end, and a A6 cam, it revved around 8.5K if I remember well. Maybe 9

I already replaced this engine 2 years ago by a cossy N/A, but I'd like to have a BDA one day. So I'll use that bottom end to start, a 16v head is already here, but need some more parts around the head !
