I took the car to the Dyno at the weekend.
Here are the results... I dont think it is too bad for a standard 4age bluetop with ITBs.
Could have got more out of it with adjusting the cam timing, but we ran out of time. Certainly feels pretty quick.

New one is getting steel arched, 5 linked, and a 2.0 engine... Maybe a Toyota 3S Beams or if funds allow a Honda S2000.
I've been promising to do this for a while, not with this car, but with another car I have in storage... I just never get round to it

Same program... only the names have been changed
Just bought this as there is oil spewing out of the top breather cos i dont have the standard airbox it has no where else to go...
Also plan to remove the ARB and have 10-15mm taken off it so the wheels move forward to stop them catching the inner arch.
Got some poly bushes while i am at it and also plan to remove the steering rack and rebush it...

The rear light lenses are all red yes... Only ones i could find at the time, but now i quite like em.
Rollin road is probably better outside here, get rid of the heat!
Finally got round to poly bushing the front end today...
I also modified the ARB to pull the wheels forward as they were catching the wheel well.
Chopped it back 15mm... wouldn't have taken anymore as it starts to bend... actually before 15mm, you can see that it is not perfectly round at 15mm, but has loads of meat to stop it moving around.
The wheel sits further forward than before and actually looks more central in the arch!
I have taken it out for a spin but can't really comment on handling, traffic is too busy to really give it some.

how did you mod the roll bar, something ive been thinking about for the cortina rack conversion to give more castor adjustment.
absolutely love that car, the pic with the white one looks like a before and after - like, just look what you can be!
I took the aintiroll bar to the machine shop here and let them do it for me.
You need a special machine to do, i had a run round quite a few before I found one that had the right machine.
Someone told me you can do it with a grinder and finish it off with a file... Probably a good few hours work tho.

I said i wasn't going to spend any more money on it this year, but i did!
I just bought some 3" lowering blocks, a bit lower than the 1.5" i had in before.

Front could do with going a little lower but it's at the end of the thread on the coilover... So shorter springs required. Something always scuppers me.

The car was sold on 31/7/2012 to a Scottish guy who lives down in Hua Hin.
I have been talking with him since he bought it and he seems happy enough with it.
I miss it, but now it means i can throw some money at the new project.
Shame to hear you've sold it as its an awesome car, but like you say its time to get stuck into the next one! Have you chosen an engine yet?

Sold? - Such a shame after you put so much effort into it. Im helping my 16yr old son who is building a similar looking car to this one - colour / wheels / ride height etc. But I've seen the other one, and can completely understand about the funding......
