now you tell me! ive already bought a set of mk2 single leafs.
never mind just a bit of grinding to do then.
got a set of mk1 poly bushes to go in um.
i had a bit of play in the pinion shaft on my new diff so took it apart to investigate. looks like it was the spacer washer that goes under the oil seal had came out of place when i changed over the prop bolting flange, and even though it was done back up tight it would still have play in it, sorted now though. while it was apart i gave the whole diff casing a bloody good clean out and removed a fair bit of crud, so glad now i took it apart.
now i need to set the preload on the bearings again and set up the back lash and contact patch.
im gonna borrow a dial gauge and some engineers blue from my dad to do this tomorrow.
anybody got any tips on sorting all that?

I had bernih on here sort mine for me.... He done an excellent job and isn't far us...

welded another bracket for the double handbrake cable today.
so need to run brake lines to rear callipers and connect handbrake cable.
Picked up a new set of gaz adjustable rear shocks as the spax set i took off looked like they have seen better days.
So hopefully should be back on the road soon.

did a trig track day couple of weeks ago car ran sweet no probs heres some pics.

my alternator packed up the other day so im in the process of finding a replacement.
i want at least a 70 amp to fit a retro ford zetec bracket with a push in plug for wires.
any body on here got one?

Been a while but ive been messing about with bikes again and just driving the escort as is but there are a few things that i wanna do to it.

Spending time building this gsxr 750 cafe and got a aprilia rsv 1000.

Ive picked up this mini to use as a daily driver while i do some work on the escort.
The mini will be tidied up as i use it. But is a very solid little car.

The escort was leaking oil from th diff so got under it and noticed that the diff bolts were lose and they just needed tightening sorted.
While under it i noticed the exhaust was completely shot to holes so ripped it off and made up a stright pipe that runs out the side but is extremely loud!

Did a few test paint patches on the front left wing just to get an idea what the colour scheme i was thinking off for when i paint it will look like.





what are your thoughts?

Is it a Clubman or a normal Mini? When I was about 11-12 I used to wash an old boys Brown Mini Clubman Estate up the road from me for Pocket money.... £1.50 a week...

Looked identical to that, well apart from the wheels. Are they revolutions?

Cheers! i think its cool. Its totally standard apart from the wheels they are midland wheels copies of mambas.
6 x 10 with 145 80 10 tyres stretched over them.

Needs a bit of bodywork sorted and the front right wing is a different colour but last owner replaced wing due to rust so all good.

yes it is! there cant be many of these still knocking around bristol. i bought it from a bloke called barny in hanham. it been layed up for around four years.i moted it today so on the road now. brakes are shocking pulls all over the road when you jump on them, shore makes for a interesting drive ha ha.

Went with a black stripe instead of gold. Works better i think
