    Tran-x diff casing damage by plates

    Hi Folks,

    Just wondering has anyone seen this before? i can just take it apart and build it up with the tig, just wondering has anyone seen it?

    Exactly what mine had done and was locking up solid
    I welded up the damage and machined it back and it’s been spot on since
    Just try to keep the heat down as mine had warped on the crow wheel face so I had to machine that too
    But that might have happened years ago for all I know

    weird, ive never seen it on rally cars, must be all the hard starts from autotesting. its only about 3 years old

    i,ve seen this a few times before easy fix weld up the damage and machine the weld as said in a previous post keep the heat down pulse tig helps this.
