how is the ht1 cam in a road pinto engine?
my spec will be, +1mm cast mahle pistons with mahle berings, twin 45, 4-2-1 exhaust, 1mm skimm head, this cam will work good in low revs? how will be the drive? i was thinking in the piper 285 but the ht1 looks hottest

HT1 is a terrible choice for a road cam, it make no real power below 4,000 rpm, and thats on an engine with forged pistons and 12.1 compression, with your engine spec you will have NO bottom end power at all, and it wont work properly at high revs either. in the real world where we actually drive the 285 is 100 times better

I had a HT1 in a well built pinto which I hated. Swapped the head and cam to a FR33. Much better and more drive able for a road car.
