mk1 escort gearbox and axle

hi people im new to the whole mk1 escort scene and basically just finding out whats what and whats fitted to my escort if anyone could help it would be much appreciated, firstly i would liek to know what axle and gearbox i have if anyone could help?

It is an English axle, that's definite.
Not sure about the gearbox. It looks like an ordinary 4 speed, but looks like the bellhousing bolts on rather than cast. Plus the pics are crap
Go on Burtonpower website (or look in their catalog) they have a gearbox section with pics of them all.

As dave said english axle ,you say its a reshell looks like a 1300e or gt as you have the rear anti tramp bar .

Can't really see but the gearbox looks like a mexico/bullet box. Is it cable or hydraulic clutch?
EDIT: just found your intro post and as you say you've got a mex reshell it should have anti tramps,bullet box,hydraulic clutch plus other bits.

thanx people as i say its just finding out what it is that i actually own, ive spent all weekend sorting out the wiring as it was wired by steve wonder, oh and i got my heaters working and engine circulating coolant fully, so its been a good weekend
