Hey where are the seats from.

Shape is great, but cloth looks like my old Pijama.

How high do you seat ( is your head shame hight as door top or is it ok)

I have a pair of OMP classic and they seem a bit too high.
Is it possible that you make a pic of bracket on the inner side.
    I havent sorted that yet.

Don't know where the seats are from, did buy them used for ~100£/pair. I intend to later on make them fit to other interior, but not yet, costs too much for now.

I can take pic later on, when I get car on it wheels, maybe today. Then I test sit them at the car. Haven't done that yet, because car is in the grill.

    Re: Cortina MK3 2.8TT

When I sit on the seat, from top of my head to roof is around maybe 10-15cm? Eyes are under door top frame.

Finaly, car sitting on all wheels, after many years
    http://s108.photobucket.com/albums/n...0152009001.jpg

Rear end will lower atleast 2cm when there is all bolted on. Now there ain't very much weight at the back.
    http://s108.photobucket.com/albums/n...0152009002.jpg

Need to too upper arm mounting points to chassis and panhard rod also
    http://s108.photobucket.com/albums/n...0152009004.jpg

As you see in this pic, there is room to wider rims inside
    http://s108.photobucket.com/albums/n...0152009003.jpg

Started to do those upper arm mounting points
    http://s108.photobucket.com/albums/n...0452009002.jpg

Bought two 23cm pull fans for rad and mounted them on
    http://s108.photobucket.com/albums/n...0452009004.jpg

    Turbo's did arrive, finally!

Good. It's hard to get the seats lower, if you wan't use original mounts. But if you make the seat not moovable (not a word even?? ) then it's possible to get it maybe 5cm lower.

Ok, something again, if somebody is interested..

Here are my additional gauges and their wiring

Got panhard rod there and upper arms too

Not nice to sit on these, you can feel them trough the seat

Original 8" brake servo with sierra's master cylinder. Will use sierra's 23,8mm master cylinder with the brakes, hopefully it be enough big for them

Some piping done with Tial 50mm bov

Propshaft pieces, need's some cutting and welding

2,5" double exhaust over the rear axle

    Surge tank

    Fuel pump

Filters, one before pump and one after

Got lsd to rear axle and new bearings etc.

Wheels are from 900/9000 Saab. Those are made from 8 rims.

Thanks for comments, would be nice to find some work, to get money, starting to get little bit out of money with this Maybe i'll drive without paintjob done first

Exhaust done, downpipes done, manifolds done, air filters done etc. pics will tell more to you guys. Duck tape only for illustration. Don't have those 3" silicon hoses in black so that's the reason for duck tape

    Re: Cortina MK3 2.8TT

Next friday shell is going to sand blast and paint at the same time. Engine room and trunk is only primed, I paint them later on to body color. Floor on both sides will be black. I paint rest of the car maybe next year, so this will be running at spring 2010! That is the final deadline, because don't have enough money to finish at this year.

Hows the laws for modifiying cars in Finland? Here in Norway it's a pain in the ¤ to get anything approved.

    Re: Cortina MK3 2.8TT

luv your cortina project....r u by any chance going to do more to your front suspension for handling like maybe, fabricating tension struts and altering the top arm mounting tube for more anti-dive? both mods will help tremendously as the increase in antidive will create more stabilty under braking and the tension struts will provide more positive location for the bottom arm under braking and cornering loads...my friend plans to use a 1031 diff as well...hows za bout a proper roll cage as well...me thinks d cortina shell needs more torsional rigidity...wadoo u think?

I'll try how it handles now without big modifications. Just superflex bushes, spax dampers and mb w123 rear springs and also sierra's power steering.

Couple pics how the car looks now.

Really like the rims and front stance, needs to be a bit lower in the back.

Please no roof rack, leave that to the VW-boys

    Re: Cortina MK3 2.8TT

Front is sitting low, because no springs there yet. It will rise pretty much and back end will lower little bit (there is no weight yet and springs little too long).

Roof rack will be on, because it belongs to this car, so that's why. And I like it in some sick way This ain't any show car or something. I don't wan't to please others. Many don't even like those rims. "why steelies, put alloys on man!!". But the main thing is, I like it, even with that roof rack!

Atleast give the rack a chop so it hugs the roof better

Of course it's your car and you can do what ever you like to it. And I am liking it a lot

Just a small update here. Did paint the grill and also do some other restoration to it. Then I needed to try how it fit's with new clear headlights and clear indicators. I like

Maybe in future needs painting in black those things that shines thru the grill

I had that in my garage, but decided to keep the original look! Almost like more this 2light grill than gt's And I also get little bit more air to oilcooler, intercooler and radiator without those double headlights. Also, no need to do wiring new for them! Yep, I am a bit lazy. Enough work with haltech and alarm systems wiring already.
