LOL! The 'Binky boys' are waaaay beyond detailed - they even show making the specialist tools and installation equipment fabrication but they have taken nearly two years or is it more - probably only a year to go! Ha Ha Ha!
It's nearly FIVE years since the first Project Binky Video went live!
Mr Murray actually mentioned keeping the “Twim cam” look but there not even fitting a six dial dash, and to say fitting IRS is to bring the car up to modern day Standard, then fit the worst seats you can get from the sixties is just........well, confusing.
totally agree about the crappy seats. Surely a set of fishnet recaro's or better still rolltops recovered in new cloth to suit would be better!
I agree with that. I think the whole car is confused. It's neither a period restoration nor a complete modernisation... Bits of both and in my opinion doesn't work. If IRS massively improved the MK1 or MK2 we'd have seen huge numbers over the years and there just haven't been.
That’s a spot on quote “The car is confused”
i have to agree also. this is nothing to do with retropower, i love the work etc , i think they are great.. i just think the the whole project doesnt know what it is, probably due to Murray tbh.
thing is though everyone has an opinion, and his is the only one that matters.
