    Re: pinto bearing question

normal ordinary bearings will do fine

the copper ones are stronger and better in a race engine with is much higher stressed and may have to cope with oil surge, but in a standard engine give no benefit

uprated bearings are not pure copper, so no one actually calls them copper, in the old days they were referred to as lead copper, or tri metal, steel backing with copper layer and lead top layer.

theres absolutely nothing wrong with the bearings clint is selling, although in my opinion a bit overkill for your engine spec, but there no harm in having a top spec bearing

in my opinion a std engine being used on the road requires nothing better than standard replacement bearings
