Wing to Door Gaps MK1 Escort

On average what gap should I be looking for between the trailing edge of the wing to leading edge of the door when I fit the wings, as with the wings and front panel clamped in I seem to have a large gap at this area?

i cant give you a measurement, but it should be similar to the gap between the door and B pillar

As Graham said, I wouldn't get hung up over measurements I don't think any MK1 is the same as any other Just make sure they're the same side to side and with the other door gaps.

Re: Wing to Door Gaps MK1 Escort

think I am panicking as I have replaced the inner wings, bulkhead, splash panel & front chassis rails, I have jigged the inner wings & chassis rails with a homebuilt jig so happy they are in the right place but when I have fitted the new front panel and place in the outer wings I end up with a large gap to the doors. I am going to have a quick re-measure as everything is riveted in place at the moment before I commit to welding
