    Hi all. Should i sell up?

    It's been a long old ride with me and Fords. But now I'm not finding the time and my old mk2 has been sat for over two years. It's been kept in decent condition and really just needs a test, but I'm unlikely to get round to it ...or am I?

    Maybe i fell out of love with it and need something else, but I've had this car for 17 years!

    Has anyone else had this dilemma? I feel like getting an old 1A model TZR 250 instead. Bikes are easier to store. Don't even need a garage. But i don't particularly want to ride a bike again, just like to own a nice stroker.

    How can i find out what my car is worth? It's pretty much complete but isn't exactly standard. Needs a test. It's a runner. Had no issues on the last mot. Comes with a ton of spares including a decent xflow, which is what it runs as well.

    Advice guys. Opinions. Please
    I'm going to pull your head off because i don't like your head!

    just my opinion short ans is no keep it.life and circumstances can sometimes throw a spanner in the works but things will always settle down and maybe in a year or 2 you will feel different and find the time and love again for it.

    Good answer

    Sometimes it's that millstone around the neck feeling though. And i would hate it to get too far gone. That would be heart breaking.

    its like having a really nice looking girlfriend and breaking up over a stupid little thing that could easily have been sorted, and a year later seeing her with some other numpty not a nice feeling.hang onto your car mate just put a bit of effort into its storage.

    Depends on finances, do you need the money, do you think you'll never afford to run it again? If not, just store it and come back in a few years, how many people wished they'd done that in the 80's and 90's now?

    You will regret selling as finding a good mk2 is hard now and if you want another say in 1 or 2 years time the price will be a lot more

    Re: Hi all. Should i sell up?

    You car is worth a lot.

    If you sell it you will at some point want another.

    You will not want to pay the price to replace it.

    =====

    Its only appreciating in value, better than cash in the bank, pensions, investments and houses.

    If you need to sell it sell it, if you don't treat it as an investment and not a car.
