    Xflow BCF2 valve timing

Going to be fitting a BCF2 cam into my 1600 xflow , I’ll be using the standard cam pulley . The valve timing is advised to be set at 108 atdc although I’ve read 106atdc can be better . Will this be possible with the standard pulley or is it best to fit it , measure with dti and use offset dowels if it is out . I cant find a listing of the standard cams timing anywhere ?

Offset dowels work fine, the holes in the original pulley will need to be drilled bigger for use with dowels. If 106 is better ... I wouldn't know ?

the only way to know is fit it and measure where it times up, no point in even trying to find timing figures for a standard cm, that has no bearing on what your doing.

as it happens i always timed them slightly advanced at 107 worked well, although the main reason was to allow for a bit so chain stretch
