    Zip project

    Hello,

    Here is my escort project:
(Please be nice to me as this is my first escort ever. And it`s the first time I`m restoring a car )

Got this car back in july 2005. It`s original an 1300l, 1969 model.

    1.jpg

My plan for the car was to put in a 2l engine. Get some bubbels on it and paint it.
The car was stored away and taken apart (what was left of it)

    2.jpg

It did`t look that good. So we made a "turn-over-jigg" for it.

    3.jpg

Find some rust on it. So it was decided that it had to be sand blasted.

    4.jpg
    5.jpg

Startet to put on the rear bubbles.

I think you have used too much sand, the whole field is covered in it.

    Re: Zip project

Rust and some changing in plans made it to be a lot of welding job. So I sent to someone to help me with the welding.

New frontpanel and slampanel. Wings back on.

I`m not sure how exciting there is with pics from the painter? But I will put them here. I like it

First the car got painted black. Just to see if it was straight.
    1.jpg

    And then sanded down again
    2.jpg

    Prepered for paint
    3.jpg

    Pushed inside
    4.jpg

    Painted a stripe
    5.jpg

What kind of colour it got, I will post tomorrow.

    Tanks,
The orange car is Fredrik Halvorsen`s. It`s sure a nice car. He is building a new one now, that is even nicer.

    Thanks,
As dangerousdave says, this is the original place for the battery.
I`m only going to use and 2l pinto (almost standard) in the begining. Here in Norway it can be, sometimes, hard get it proven with an new and bigger engine. So the pinto is the first step.
